The Red Thread
About: Leslie Braddock

Born in the deep south, Leslie spent years learning about the history and culture of the Acadian/Cajun people of Louisiana.   As an only child, much of her childhood summers were spent with her French speaking grandmother.  This had a profound impact and became the catalist of inspiration for much of her writing.

Photography is a hobby that has also influenced the writing Leslie has done.  The expression that "A picture is worth a thousand words" hits home with her.  In her travels, many of the photos she has taken have triggered the beginnning of a story.

The photo at the right was taken in Washington D.C. in 2008 and was part of the fuel behind her new book.

Leslie graduated from a local Louisiana high school and attended several colleges and universities over the next seven years. She is currently working on her Masters in Psychology as well as her first novel.

Her husband and three children have continued to be a guiding light of inspiration and understanding.
